Art Festival in Playa del Carmen

Today, Abel and I went perusing around 5th street to view the many performances of the art festival!  (Can I just say that I LOVE art festivals!!??)  :)

A little rain deterred a few spectators, but I'm really glad we stuck it out because we had a great evening!  Quinta Avenida was bustling with families and couples perusing the paintings of dozens of local artists and shuffling from performance to performance.  We saw balancing acrobats, face painters, flirtatious clowns, human statues, musicians by candlelight, belly dancers and skeletons on stilts.

Gypsy-dom

Hola,

  It's been almost 2wks since my move to Playa del Carmen Mexico, and I figure it's about time that I begin a blog about my gypsy-dom.  I'm one of those kids that fell in love with traveling and seeing new places and cultures; I also found that the easiest way to see or learn about any one place is to actually move there for a while.  I've lived in Texas, Oklahoma, two cities in Missouri, Hawai'i, Pennsylvania, California, and two cruise ships (traveling to Alaska, throughout Central America, and the Caribbean)... all since my performance career began in 2005. 

  I feel absolutely blessed to have experienced so much, and I can't imagine all of the places that I will see in the future.

  This blog is for all those people with itchy, need-to-travel feet like mine,  for everyone who lives adventurously through written word, and for any family or friends who just may wonder what I'm up to.  Hang on for an adventure!
